For us to be able to help you, YOU have to tell us what it'* doing/not doing. My telepathy skills are a little rusty

Yea, I went to a GM dealer. The tranny was decent but the instillation and the warranty is what jacked it up. Geuss it depends what you need and who you go through. Where did you get yours from?

yea, I put a new transmission in my moms van (Pontiac Transport w/3800) a rebuilt tranny cost me $500 and I put it in myself. The book time on the transmission is 11hrs, and shop rate varies from $80-$110 /hour.

Thanx. but it started to act funny late Saturday. Iafter my basketball game i left to go get something to eat and while i was driving in tje parking lot i hit a Deep pot hole But i didn't think much of it. So on my way i stopped at a stop light and when it was my turn to go it felt like i was slinding on ice or sand or something. (it was no snow or sand on the ground) So i stopped my car to take a look at the ground and nothing was there. So i parked my car for the day.
Sunday i went to go out to eat with my family we drove for about 30 min straight no problems at all. After i got done eating got back on the highway and was fine When i got back home i parked my car for the day.
Monday:
i left home me and my lil bro and got on the highway it was fine until i stopped at a stop light. It started to stay in nuetral even hto it was in drive. So i turned it on and off atleast 30 mins. And it went for alil while and then it would seem to be stuck in nuetral. So i finally got to school and i had to go up a hill but my car wasn't having it.So i parked my car on the side of the hill and got to pushing it into the parking lot.

Well my dad came and he put new transmission fluid in it and it worked for a little while then it started to do the same thing to him as it did to me. One dealer said i need a new tranny, but my dad thinks it'* the module tht shifts it into gears. What do you guys think?
