Default Transaxle Recommendations - Repair and Overhaul

Just broke my trans after doing several mods to the car. Did the CAI, plugs, SC overhaul, installed a 2.5" pulley, oversized tensioner pulley, new O2 sensor, port matching on the intake and also installed CATCO converter, Magnaflow Resonator and F-Body muffler. Did the TPS and boost adjustment. I love my new power.

Except... the next day I am at a traffic light and a guy on a 5.0L Mustang started to rev up and was asking for it...well I blow his doors...

I did some errnds in the following two hours and noticed the trans started to slip on oveerdrive mode. While heading home I step on the car to enter enter the freeway and when the trans shifted to high gear...started to slip with like it was on neutral. Will only run on 1st gear and will not shift and there is no reverse. The car is a 1995 SSEi with 121,000 miles.

Any recommendations on how to proceed and whiom to go to? Would like to get a high performance built tranny, from a reputable vendor. Has anyone done business with IPT in New Jersey?

Thanks!!

Sounds like u just blew her to pieces. This is the same thing mine did (minus the reverse) and when i took it apart almost all the clutches were broken, and several bushings were missing. First off of course check your fluid lever and make sure it'* full, then you're probably looking at the new tranny. I believe it'* 3800performance.com that builds a high-performance transmission for these cars. Check them out.

If it has fluid and it still slips, you might be looking at an expensive rebuild. This tranny isnt very easy to rebuild so make sure you pick a reputable shop
