Default Trans stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear, help

Ok, I am a full time mechanic so I can probably figure this out but wanted to see if anyone ran into this. 95 SSEi, runs ok but after it gets hot it won't go into first gear, It'* feeling like 2nd or 3rd. No other trans problems to report. Has 153,000 miles on original trans. Any idea which solenoid to look at? Thanks

This is kinda a tossup, but did the '95 have a vacuum modulator? Because that is one of the things, that when fails will give you 2nd gear starts. That'* all I can think of.

the 94 modulator went and also had a wire that wasnt feeding enough voltage to the transmission sensors and alot of my other sensors. i got that replaced and they rewired that connection because it was tripping a QDM failure putting my car in limp mode which gives the car 3rd gear start offs after it is warm.

Have you had a scantool on it? Sounds like a slipping Torque Converter to me. It'll feel just like that. Very typical when they get warm, they get worse. When was the last flush?

When you say it won't go into first gear, do you mean that it won't shift at all and it feels like it'* stuck in a higher gear?

upon checking codes I found QDM B code 1650 but the shifting has gone back to normal. I think it'* for the 1-2 solenoid driver in the PCM.
