To check the belt, just pop the hood and make sure the belt (thing that rotates all the pulleys) is still intact.

Tire issue, might not be able to know unless inspected by a tire place.

Maybe, but the steering would be really hard, the battery light would be on and the engine would overheat because water is not being pushed around by the water pump

yeah, but the engine wouldn't be happy and you probably wouldn't have any power steering.

BUT,it dosen't mean it'* completly gone, it just might be shredding itself....

Then again, you said it was coming from the driverside wheel area, so I REALLY doubt it'* the belt (since it is on the oposite side)

plus its a new belt (few months old) dont mean much and ya its coming from the driver side so prob. not that.. my friend works for a tire place so ill take it up there this weekend if i havent found the probelm yet and he'll check it out for free... but clas is over so i prob. wont be able to get back on till tonight after work.. thanks for all your guys help and ill tell you what i find when i pull the tire off tomorrow..
