On the '98 Bonneviile I got 2 weeks ago, there is a small black dome in the center of the dash up by the windshield. Is that supposed to blink when the alarm is armed? This one doesn't. I checked the alarm system by following the procedure in the manual, and it does work. Also, when locking the car with the remote, the gas door lock makes a rather loud clunk. Is that normal? Thanks.

My 93 dome doesn't blink. I've seen Chryslers that have that blinking dome.

If you want a blinking red light, enable the Theftlock feature on the radio.

I actually thought the dome piece was for the automatic light control center.

I'm pretty sure that the little black dome is a solar sensor for the automatic HVAC system. The twilight sensor is near the left of the car and looks sort of like a washer.

Are you speaking of the interior or exterior where the sensor is? If inside, is this piece on the dashboard on the driver side near the window with a black outlining and a blue dot in the middle?

My manual says nothign about this little thing on the dash.
