I asked awhile back about tie rod ends and was told its not a really difficult job. On to the next part.. I -might- have a slightly bent control arm. I'm going to take a better look after work today. If so, I want to replace it myself if possible.
The question is, has anyone done this on the club yet? How difficult? Special tools? How many beer job?
Thanks again.

Depending on how bent, that may factor a lot in.
The bolts are huge and have typically been in for a long time.. tough to get out.... I mean 16lbs of sledge and still not budging tough.
Done some with Mechanic Dan ... typcially it'* ugly. However...once in a while..you get lucky.

Here'* a thread where Bandit replaced (or had replaced) a left rear control arm. After reading it, it does sound like Doppleganger has done it also.

For a control arm, id be tempted to take it some were, unless you have some high powerd impact gun and a compressor..you MAY also need a tool to drive the old Control arm bushings out.
Front or rear control arm?
I've dismantled suspension parts from at least 3 cars. Bolts were tight... snapped a socket or two. Bill'* impact gun made a big difference in removing the bolts in extreme cases (strut to knuckle bolts) but was able to muscle out the ones prior to using the air tools.
I couldn't get the bushings out myself so I took the arms to a shock/strut/alignment shop. They charged me like $45 to remove the bushings and ball joints on both front control arms. Saved a big headache.
I have both front control arms and subframe (93) and a left rear control arm/strut assembly (97) if your are looking for replacement parts.
