Default Suspension Noise - Need Opinion

Since quite a few months ago when I put the FE2 suspension into my car, I've noticed that when I initially back up on my driveway in the morning and turn the wheel to back down the driveway, there'* a semi-loud clunk kind of noise. Nothing feels like it moves or changes, you feel it in the steering, but that'* it. It happens more in the cold weather, and almost only the one time in the morning unless it sits for a good part of the day in cold weather. Sometimes when it'* warm out at night (60+) it won't even happen. Mechanic says it might be a tight strut plate and nothing to worry about, just a noise. What is everyone'* thoughts on this assessment and is it something I need to worry about or a noise I can just deal with?

But I can't help to wonder if I got one of the Plates in Upside down...lol... I'm not taking it back apart till it gets struts tho

Should I worry, like can this cause issues in the future that effect performance, or is it just gonna be a noise for life? My Mechanic says it'* just a noise that I'll have to deal with but I wanted to ask you guys...?

I think i have put 10,000 miles on mine... It does it from time to time... I have had no issues with it... and I'll leave it alone till I want to replace the front struts....

If it doesn't cause any memory steer or steering issues don't worry about it.. Next time you are there for anything then give it a second thought

What does it take to get to it? My Mechanic did all the works cause as I am mechanically inclined when I try at certain things, that is one that I'm not, not too big on suspension yet, still learning...

You'd have to remove the strut from the knuckle and the strut tower... Then compress the spring.... Remove the Strut mount nut, and then you'll have access to the bearing plate.... The to make sure its right and put it together again, then you'd have to have the alignment reset...

It may not be worth the time to bother with it...

Mine is doing it and I'm leaving it alone.... No point... I even used new strut mounts...lol

I experience the same issue. I've taken it apart twice and played with a long prybar to no avail. I'm going to deal with it until whatever is clunking wears out/wears in lol.
