i hate to be an ***, but you have 2 transmission coolers and i guess you didnt eliminate anything because you are having tranny problems

Let'* get back to the topic and try ot solve this problem.

So heat is not an issue. And it continued to act funky today. But only if you shift in and out of D/OD or the other way around.

The electronics I believe are mostly internal and are a pain to get at, but I'm not positive. I know the TCC soleniod which I don't think is your problem is a $30 part but hours and hours of labor to put in.

I assume you didn't put the tranny cooler on recently and you've checked fluid level... I'm out of ideas, but one of the vets will jump in with some fresh ideas.

tranny coolers were put on when I bought the car 2.5 years ago
My car has trans fluid changes 1 to 2 times per year

2nd kinda stupid/off topic question for the day...

why were u shifting from drive to overdrive on the highway?.....and why do u do it on a daily basis? do u climb a lot of steep hills or somethin? or am i missing it?

I use drive on city driving to stop the trans from shifting so much, and use OD on the highway were it doesn't shift so much, also OD on the highway saves gas.


Also want to mention that I was told that this is not the orig. trans. So theres not 185,000 miles on this one.

yeah that'* what i do too....but does putting it in drive while in the city really help? and i'm assuming that you stay under about 47mph when doing that, right?
