If it hasn't been done lately I'd suggest new plugs & wires.

Just change the wires then.

Let'* get back to the leaking brake booster. It must be sucking brake fluid from the master cylinder. Brake problems should not be ignored or put off.

Part of the rough running may have been the learning process. On the booster..that fluid isn't leaking into the vacuum hose to the engine as well, right?

the fluid isn't leaking on anything but the exhaust. and its a VERY slow leak. it took a year for it to get from full to were it would beep that it was low (roughly) i filled it 2-3 months ago, and it still looks full

id have a hard time convincing anyone to spend the grand or so necessary to fix a part on a car they paid 900 for and has 188k on it, when the only downfall currently is having to top it off every 9-12 months... its just a tiny leak.

plug wires arn't the problem, it ran perfect on monday before this icm problem.

How can you say it ran perfect when you've been getting less than 10 mpg?

im confused....when did i say it gets less then 10mpg?

it idled perfect, smooth, now its a littl bumpy, you have to give it a little gas when you start it and for a few seconds.

While I agree on not wanting to spend money on a cheap car... safety reasons would have me fixing the slight leak.. doing your own work, it wouldn't be much money. My reason for asking is the large vacuum line leading from the booster to the intake..brake fluid may make the car not run well if it was leaking into the engine.

Have you checked vacuum lines? And consider cleaning the TB by removing it, all the sensors and ensuring the IAC is not dirty.
