Default Sticky fuel injectors

Every few months, I start up my 99 Bonneville and it starts shaking. The engine light comes on a minute or two later. My mechanic says that the code associated with the engine light means that a fuel injector is clogged, and subsequently one of the cylinders is not working. It is a different cylinder every time. Once the injector gets cleaned, everything is fine. Sometimes it even stops on its own if I turn the car off and back on. When the car is driving it is usually fine, but during idle it shakes like crazy.

First, have others had this problem?

Second, how can I prevent this from happening? I've tried putting fuel treatments in every month or two and it doesn't seem to matter.

Third, can I manually clean the injectors myself?

Default

first purchase the o-rings from the dealer

second, purge pressure into a towel or rag....then pull the fuel rail.

Purchase some injector cleaner...soak all injectors overnight
