Here you can see The ECM and the chip that i was talking about the whole time when i push that chip into the slot with a little force i can start the engine , if i stop pushing it mi cars engine die ,if i push it again and hold i can start it the whole day fine doing that so mi question is i know were to get ECM buth the chip comes with the ECM to .if not were do i find it to thanks in advance..

ok, sry, i misunderstood. to answer the q, no the prom chip will not come with a new ecm. unless you got one from a junkyard. but it would have to be EXACTLY the same as yours. as the proms have different settings for, eng, trans, emissions, etc.

I would try some junk-yard parts to see if you have any luck with that.

and just to make it easier to anyone trying to help you, can you please add ur year and trim level to you sig.


but ya know what, i have an extra ecm. i also have a few proms, but whether or not they are compatable with ur car, that would take some research.

from what ive researched, its the 4 digit letter codes that make each chip unique.

mine is an "azkj" this works for the 92 L27 non egr.

but from there the only issue will be the trans gear ratio.

i think i have a azkn, not sure tho ill have to search a little.

Well the chip says in the front Delco AYZB 8246 ,and for the question if the ECM was rebuild i dont know it says in the front Factory Authorized remanufacutered Module so i am guessing that is rebuild right? dont know to much about that .. And yes this bonnevile doesnt have a egr...
