Yea Dan, That'* what I'm thinking too. Easy enough to rip out and attack with the jumper cables and see what happens. Maybe I will get lucky, and be able to just clean it up and rebuild it.
My issue now is that I know it will spin when I take it out. It has the worst time when it is cold. Once it is warm, it starts every time without fail. Until it cools off anyways.
Can a starter just be weak, or are they more of a works or doesn't type thing? If they can lose their strength over time, maybe it just cant crank a cold car anymore.
