Like Bill said, the ICM will effect more cylinders. A coil will effect 2 cylinders, and a wire will effect 1 cylinder. If it'* running good, leave it be.

I've also seen a single tower of a coil go bad. Supposedly it should never happen. My little sister did it though. I'm sure it probably had something to do with me washing down the motor, and water getting into a cracked coil.
