Well, IDK because I just looked at my car and it is how I posted. Hummmmmm. Was '95 different from '96? I thought they were the same. The picture you posted looks like it could be from an L27 (or whatever came before the L36)

You are a park ave and may have a different routing.

I pulled the picture from the Dayco site as mentioned.

So far the belt has stayed on... but my car is beginning to drag when cranking it esp after it gets warmed up real good. Sounds like something is in a bind. could my ac gone bad have anything to do w/it binding up?
I have the belt running counter clockwise>

Crank
AC
Alt
Tens pully
power steering
water pump then to crank...

any suggestions?

Binding AC could have a lot to do with it.

Follow the routing diagram I posted if it agrees with the one in your owners manual.

You need to ensure you have the proper routing and that all driven items are not binding.

I dont have an idle pully on my car...I've got the belt running from the crank to the ac ...according to my manual the belt is suppose to run from crank to the idle pully and then to the ac... I wonder what happened to the idle pully? Hmmmm?

You named off 6 pulliies and there are 6 in the routing diagram I posted.

Which manual and what section/page are you reading about an idle pulley.

my owners manual for a 95 Bonn. page 6-11 & 6-12

It shows both a ifle and a tensioner pully but my car only has the tensioner on it. no idle...
A.POWER STEERING
B. ALT
C. AC
D. IDLE > NOT ON MY BONNEVILLE...
E. CRANK
F. WATER PUMP
G. TENSIONER

That'* exactly how my car is, the one shown above.

seahuntmike - I think your problem is that you have the belt running from alt. to tensioner then around the P/* pump. It should go from the alternator to the P/* pump, around thensioner, then around the W/P.
