I suppose I could just pull the fuse for the chimes, but then I'd likely kill the lighting too which is helpful.

If you want just all your accessories on with the door open without that chime.. all I did was turn the key back to acc. position and slowly turn it back to off while pulling the key out. There is a little sweet spot that allows the key to be released and yet be in accessories mode where you can leave the radio on, operate all electronics ( minus the climate ), and have the door open without that annoying chime.
