I recently cleaned m battery connections as part of trying to fix a stalling problem (see other thread) and now I've noticed that the security light comes on when I'm driving at highway speeds.

The light stays on for a few minutes and then goes off. The cars is running fine at this time and I haven't noticed anythnig that might trigger the light, during driving that is.

Is this another indication that I need to replace my ignition switch?

I have a 96 SSEI with the resitor in the key. My security light was coming on, so I cleaned the resistor contacts with a little alcohol. It has never been a problem since.
