Ok, stalled again today. Let'* sum this up and see if it looks like a bad PCM.

1. Hard starts in the morning
2. Stalled when letting off at WOT 2 times.
3. Frequent CEL when accelerating up a hill, claims a bad BCS
4. Stinky exhaust after WOT, and bad MPGs in general. (Cat was replaced with a high-flow a while back)
5. Rough idle/idles no less than 975-1000
6. Ruled out coolant temp sensor for PCM, as I am getting a accurate reading on the scantool.
7. Was told by previous owner that it DID idle properly, but noticed it idled differently shortly after getting a jumpstart.

I am determined that it is a bad PCM, since I am having all these symptoms. I had previously checked the fuel pressure, and it is in spec. FPR is good, no smell of fuel in the vacuum line.

When the CEL light comes on....what does the code read? If you can check that - it would help to narrow it down. A rough idle and hard start/stalling could be caused by a number of things. Remember the basics of engine operation...spark, fuel, and compression. Could be as simple as a bad wire or an O2 sensor....but check the code.

#&*!@$^&(#!@%(&* Stalled AGAIN today.Checked my codes, still have the 57- Boost Control Problem and a new one, 34 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit. Exhaust was SUPER stinky when I started back up, go figure.

Why me? Especially when it stalled on a 55mph country road with ditches on both sides, I had to coast to the nearest road.

Well..... I am officially calling it a bad PCM. Why you may ask? Got TONS of new codes today, stalled 2 times, almost a 3rd but it sputtered back to life.

History codes - 26, 34, 57, 43

Current (Today'* codes) - 26, 34, 36, 57, 43

I feel like I am reading lottery numbers.

26 - Quad-Driver " A " Fault
34 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit
36 - Transaxle Shift Control Problem
57 - Boost Control Problem
43 - Electronic Spark Control Circuit

Forgot to mention what the tranny was doing. I stopped when it stalled, started it, put it in drive, pushed the gas, BARELY moved. I think the TCC was locked up, because when I tried to accelerate, it felt like I was driving against a brick wall.

Before all the craziness with the stalling and PCM weirdness I would have you check your PCV valve and MAP sensor.

Good Luck.

Well, no change with a different PCM. :( Still idles the same, stalls out after letting off after a hard WOT, exhaust smells funky.

Something tells me my PCM codes were my loose battery cable. I found it to be loose.

Next up is checking the fuel pressure and FPR. I do have a vacuum pump, how much should I pump it up on the FPR to check for leakdown?
