ok... Was thinking about my seat and looking at the pictures I have. Can I just remove the back of the passenger seat and have it fit the driver's seat? This seems like it will be easier than swapping the covers... Otherwise, I might be taking a trip to Mass...

Basically, I want to get the seatback cover of the passenger seat on the driver's seat back. I don't care how either. Even if I just switch the seats themselves (I know the tracks would have to be switched)

That was actually asked before. I suppose it can be done that way but I'm a little afraid of that shock looking thing that connects to the seat back. keep in mind that the seat frame pics in the link above are NOT the AL7 seats so there might be some differences.

If you swap the whole seats, there will only be one snaffu that I can think of:

There is a little fabric loop on the inside (console side) that retains the seatbelt latch. If you swapped, the loop would now be on the outside (door side) and the seatbelts would not be held in place on the seat.

well you could just swap the leather seat backs, and leave the bottoms alone, that way the seatbelt loop would be fine and you would have a good leather seatback

i hope you dont plan for the seat covers to just pull off on ur 91.... as the leather covers and pads are hog ringed on with over 100ish per seat....

That's exactly what I am looking at doing cause the seatbottom of the red passenger seat has a burn mark, but the seat back is perfect.

ok let me know how it works out, I am trying to find 9 way seats (eventually) for my car, and if i cant get a good driverseat, that is what i will have to do
