Removing Seat Covers

Ok... I have a question on how you remove the back part of the driver and passenger seat... just the leather cover. Seats are the 9 way. I would like to swap the driver and passenger ones since they look to be both the same. if someone has instructions or pictures, Iwould appretiate them a lot. Thanks.

Jimmy, you have to detach the seat cover at the base of the seat back under the netting pocket. Hard to describe, but you'll see it if you cram yourself under there. Then peel the back upwards.

and they are very hard to get back on... at least they were for me...

On my '92, parts of the seat back were fastened to the core with velcro and when I got close to the top, I had to pull the headrest out. I had to make a tool to keep the spring out of the way on one side while I used a screwdriver on the other.

Getting the thing back on is a lot like stuffing a sausage!

I'll bet someone here knows the correct way ( or at least a better way) to remove the headrest. :?:

Yay! Randman does it again! All I would have had to do was turn the sleeve 90 degrees. DOH!

Thanks, Randy.

Might just swapping the seats be easier?

randman1 does it again..... sweet.
The pix were very well done.... I think I'm going to attempt to take my drivers seat apart in my 91 and see what the problem is.
