Default Rack and pinion movement

Changed an inner tie rod end. Noticed the rack and pinion had some loose (like when you try to move the wheel side to side while inspecting, it'* the rack that moves, not the tie rods) and when I put in the new inner tie rod, I noticed the rack had about 90* of free rotational movement.

Is it normal to some extent or I should change it immediatly? I got some loose in the steering wheel, but not enough to be dangerous.... yet...

Damn machine is trying me. It blown it'* heater core 2 weeks ago, now it'* doing this...

If it'* sloppy, then you may want to consider changing it. It'* a PITA but doable.
