I have a 95 SE with all OEM parts. The car has ~95,500 miles on it. I'm considering changing the UIM, gaskets, etc. How soon do you guys think I should do this, and is there a way to see if the UIM is damaged at all by just looking at it (without removing it)?
Thanks
Thanks
I am kinda handy with taking things apart on this car, mine has 106,000 miles. If I looked in this area for coolant, and didnt find any, would it be better to just wait it out and change it when it fails? Is there any stories of these things that have lasted up into 200,000 miles? Or because of the plastic, every single one is inevitable even with lower miles? All the stories I read about it keeps me on edge whenever I drive it. Paranoid maybe?! :(
I dont think there is any common time to them, someone may correct me on this though. But On my car it is having its FOURTH one put on tom. this one lasted a mere 40K miles. But yet at the same time one of our friends has a 99 Grand Prix with 190K miles on the original! :O
