I have a 1992 bonneville sse with a stock alarm system. If I disconnect the negative battery cable, will I have problems with the alarm? The reason I ask this is I am going to install a thermostat, and this book I have says that if the vehicle sis equipped with a Delco Loc II or Theftlock audio system, make sure you have the correct activation code before disconnecting the battery. I have no idea what this activation code is. Please help.

I beleive that activation code is for your stereo. If you dont have it the stereo won't work.
