I am very suspicious of the coolant bypass "L" tube. It is black plastic on the left side of the engine. THey tend to go brittle and ether leak slowly or completely rupture. Check for a leak on the left side of the engine, towards teh front and below the alternator.

Oh, sorry, should have updated. Put more coolant in, drove a few hundred up to my house, it'* fine. It still likes to pull the code, once in a while.
