What'* the deal with the O2 sensor? Aren't the plug wires shielded?

yea but the 02 gets wicked hot and silicone or rubber against it will probably melt. Id like to see a pic of Bills wire routing. I have seen them from the factory run the wires on the front of the motor under a bunch of vacumn hoses and some real crazy ways.

My wires were touching the O2 wire harness and my car was idling very rough. I actually think it threw an SES light...lean bank code IIRC. I didn't think something like that would change anything, but good ol' Boosty reassured me that was the problem. I re-routed my wires and it sure enough fixed the problem.
