Default please help

I need some help. While driving my 1992 bonneville sse all the gauges reset on the dash and then went back to there normal function. The Car never cut off and conitinued driving as usuall. The gas meter went to E as if I cut the car off. The battery volt did the same. literally all gauges blanked out and immediately reset themselves. It did this maybe 4 times in an hour time of driving. What is the first thing to check or has any other bonne lovers had this issue. I have a new alternator on the car and I was thinking it may be a bad connection to the battery terminal. What do you guys think?
