Someone hit the 99 SLE in the back and caused no aesthetic damage, but a gray plastic piece with fins fell out from the inside. What does this part do? It doesn't look like the bumper is now weaker in that area. Plus, it'* just some plastic that doesn't seem like it would be able to hold up to much of a hit.
