95 pontiac bonneville long start
The car runs great other than this and it just started doing this when I start the car it will spin and spin as if no fire or fuel. After two or three try'* it will crank and run fine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The next time you go to start it and you expect it to do that again, this time, hold the throttle open just a crack and see what happens.

I don't think it'* the fuel pressure because first thing in the morning it cranks rite up now when I drive to the store on the way to work which his 15 miles away and shut it off to walk in and get a drink. It will be hesitant to start back up. Mike I did start trying to crack the throttle and also pump it a little but I get the same result.

Another possibility for an extended crank is the fuel pump relay is fubar, then after cranking a few turns, oil pressure builds and the oil pressure switch closes, sending power to the fuel pump...
Another thing to try.....turn key to on.....shut off, wait 5 seconds, turn key to on....turn off for 5 seconds, and then see if the car starts right away.....

oil sensor is a second redundant way to turn on the pump so you arent stranded, it bypasses the relay.
the issue sounds to me like heat soak, which is normally the crank sensor or icm. if you get it to where it doesnt start then check for spark.

Ignition control module is definitely a suspect. More likely than a fuel pump issue which would give you a hard start hot or cold. The other thing you might want to check (because it is so easy to check) is the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator (canister shaped part mounted on the fuel rail) and smell the hose for gasoline. If you smell gas, replace the FPR.
