Default Parking brake sticking?

This has happend before, but lst night it really pissed me off.Whats happening is that my parking brake is sticking or the brakes themselves are sticking(probably freezing, since its so damn cold). I drove an entire block this way. The longest tire screech you'll ever hear. Soooo.. to fix the problem, I jacked up the car, and kicked the **** of of each rear tire, and wallah! What should I look for to keep this from happening in the future?

Try backing the car. Then again your rear brakes might need adjusting. One more thing, is the handle up all the way when there released?

That sound like your line can be froze. I wonder if this can actually happen on hydroulic brakes. I know it can happen on air brake lines though.

The Parking brake is a mechanical brake, not hydaulic. The wire can get gunked up with never being used.

I would guess problems with either the parking brake cable or the drum brakes themselves.
