OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATION

I have the same problem with my car but doesnt go below 10 but pretty close. I was thinking maybe its the oil pump inside the oil pan?

Get the car to a mechanic and have a mechanical oil pressure gauge hooked up to verify what the pressure REALLY is. If there'* a noticable difference, change your oil pressure sensor.

Change your oil and filter, too.

Napa Part # for oil pressure sensor is OP6666

Probably because his oil pressure was low due to worn bearnings. That led to rod knock and a spun bearning. (Spun bearing is when you end up losing the bearing between crankshaft and connecting rod, hence no oil pressure, hence your motor is a paperweight)

The oil pressure sending unit is not the answer to all these problems. The low pressure should be checked asap with a mechanical gauge. Then if necessary replace the sender.
