I agree. The sensors don't generally fail in that manner. How did they check the oil pressure when they changed the oil? Did they put a mechanical gauge on it?

Either buy a mechanical gauge and put it on it, or take it to a shop to have them do it.

Edit - Does the engine start making noise when the oil pressure drops?

does your gauge ding when you first start, or does this only happen when the car warms up..i had the same problem, right after i changed the oil, the pressure went up overall, then a few weeks later, it would run at about 40 cold, and after 15 mins of driving or so, it would touch the red part of the gauge and ding....if you have the pressure tested, have it tested when cold and when warm, cuz that might make the difference

don't let this go unchecked either, i ended up spinning a bearing
