OIL CHANGE ??
I had asked previously, and a few members had advised FOR the engine flush. However, many resources on the Web also advise that this is a complete waste of money, and that by changing the oil you are basically flushing the engine yourself (without the whole high-pressure, special-fluid thing.) (and, of course, changing your oil filter is imperative.)
I think I'm just going to switch to synthetic when my first oil change comes due and maybe shorten the length of time between the first and second changes (maybe 2500 miles) to rid any excess buildup that might be kicking around. But my feeling is that you're not hurting anything by just switching to synthetic, as long as you're changing the filter as well.
Hey, I might even attempt to change my oil myself
There'* a first time for everything.
