i popped off my throttle body to replace the throttle position sensor and this was lurking inside. is this no good? fixable?

Which car? Year? Model? That could have just drained from when you pulled the throttle body off. There are coolant passages going around the throttle body.

Yep, I'm going to bet on it being the coolant that was in the throttle body at the time and it drained back into the intake when you pulled it off. Was your coolant level getting low or was the car heating abnormally before you removed the throttle body?

ill take your word for it. um ya,it runs totally abnormal temp when it is above 70 degrees out.it has a fresh radiator and coolant so no it doesnt leak.anymore.my fans dont kick on unlesss i turn on the heat or air,so i have the fans straightwired with a switch.when its in the 90'* i can expect it to get hot and shut off within like a 30 mile trip.i pulled the thermostat to try n gain a little more time before it gets all hot and shuts off on me in the middle of traffic.its got a few abnormalities.wish i could afford to bring it to the pros at pontiac.

You didn't have to remove the TB to replace the TPS. Extreme is on the money. When you removed the TB, coolant leaked out from the back side of the TB and went into the upper intake manifold.

You might want to check the plastic manifold (looks like valve cover) cover. I've replaced mine twice - the second time I vapor/hydro locked and really messed up the starter.
If you lose a lot of coolant, it is worth a look.

Supercharged engines have a supercharger instead of the plastic upper intake manifold/plenum.

Having done a TPS on an S1...that might be the easier way. lol
