Let us know where in Boston it is exactly? It just so happens I'm in Boston on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. I'll bring my scantool along the way and see if there'* any surprises. There are also several members who live there who could check it out for you if timing doesn't allow or they can get to it sooner.

By the way, I'm a 95 SSEi owner myself. As was Billboost (I bought mine from him as a matter of fact). Its a super strong and reliable car. Also gives a nice kick in the pants when you're driving.

For the NA motors the series 1 motors went up to and through 94, They became series 2 in 1995

For SC series 1 was up through 95 with series 2 beginning in 96
On the SC motor HP went from 225 to 240. The real difference is the S1 would run out of breath at highway speeds and the S2 was redesigned for that speed, however it lost a bit of wheel spinning grunt off the line.

In the Boston area we have many members. Off the top of my head

Short story: I decided not to buy the 95 in Boston. The owner started acting sketchy when I started asking detailed questions.

So, I'm going to keep on looking. I may try to concentrate on the 96 & up cars since I do a lot of highway driving.

Thanks again for your offers to check out the Boston car. I'll continue to lurk here and read more about these great cars until I find one to buy.
