is the hole security thing with the chip in the key
replace the module

replace the module
When those modules "go bad" they won't even allow the car to crank. A good cleaning would cure it anyway.

battery took a crap, new one installed under warrenty, no problems

I was about to say.... Just saw the vid... I saw the Volt gage drop down into the 7-9V area.... Thats way too low...

Glad it was the battery... Happens some times..

ya that is my 4th everstart in about 2 years (free replacement warrenty) there was corrosion on the top terminal the the NEG post was leaking

Yeah sometimes you can end up with a dead Cell... I do check mine for water every now and again... I have refilled them with distilled a couple of times in 3 years I think... Its always great to have that Warranty tho...

yup i think that was the case, a dead cell, the battery also started to bulge a little, so i knew its time was ending shortly

but all is well in SLE'* world


BTW how do you fill a battery?????

Usually I Think a batter will buldge if its getting overcharged... But I just don't think thats the case if you are running 14v...

Mine last everstart was buldging before it died...

There are 2 caps on the Everstart batteries that can be removed to check the water level in the cells... I usually fill to the bottom of the hole or what ever they call it...lol

Hmmm... Out of all the AC Delco Batteries I have had, I have only managed 3-4 years on their sealed for life batteries...

Aren't AC Delco batteries made by Johnson Controls?

Die Hard, EverStart, Duralast, ...... all made by JC
