Also, what are the best books by Chilton/Hayes to own? I picked up one to look at. It is a 1985-2002 Bonneville/La Sabre and others by Chilton.
I am going to need to change the IMG this summer and was wondering which would have the best instructions. I read those in the techinf section, but I need to just a little bit more information.
Later guys...it'* Lunesta time...
Chiltons will be good. Helm is the company that produces the actual FSM'* for the dealers.
On that LED..you can simply google the voltage expected at the injectors, add the resistor for that voltage.

Its more than buying some books but offers a HUGE amount of info. Also only lasts a year but to me its worth it big time.

So I disconnected an injector connector and inserted the bulb. The car started right up and the bulb was pulsing. (Darn thing won't start when I want it too, but starts when I least expected it.) I plugged the injector connector back on quickly. I checked the rest of the injectors while it was running. The car idled rough when I pulled each one and smoothed out when reconnected, so those are all working.
I'll try it in the morning when I'm not expecting it to start again to check for an injector pulse.
I took tomorrow & Friday off work to go to the yards. It'* comp time, and not vacation time. I work too much.
