Default No Heat! HELP

Hey all, i need help with yet another issue, I have no heat blowing out the vents what so ever, The fan just blows cold air no matter what temp setting. The heater worked absolutly fine just 3 days ago, i had the battery unhooked trying to find my other issue with the misfire , i hooked it back up started the car and went to adjust the heat, and i noticed the temp number was blinking..? I have never seen this before..and now it has no heat, everything functions just no heat. What could cause this and how do i fix it asap, its getting cold up here. Could it be a fuse? I dont have a repair book for the car yet so i dont know where the fuse would be if its in the engine bay part or uder the dash which circuit its on. Could this also be a pcm problem? I have yet to find my misfire/excessive fuel consumtion problem and im leaning towards bad pcm being a 94'. Remember it was fine 3 days ago so it couldent be a bad t-stat..could it? =* HELP.

okay so i read the link you sent me and the links inside that like the trail nuts thing, and i took the glovebox out to see if the air/mix actuator is moving and it is fully each way, and i have hot air and cold, when i set it accordingly..but im still getting that damn blinking light when i start the car or change the temp?..when i first start the car even if the setting was at 32c it will go to cold so i have to go all the way to cold and then back to 32c and it will blow hot again? Is this a vacumn issue? Also sinse i first had the car ive never had hot air blow out the front vents, only hot through the defrost and floor, but i do get cold air and mild warm air through all vents depending on the temp setting Is this normal? thanks everyone

Air flow out the defroster and floor vent with not being able to get airflow out the front vents is a default mode when there is a problem. I was reading a thread on that earlier this week. I'll see if I can find it again. BRB

I do get airflow out the front vents if the a/c is on or the air is cold, i just cant get hot air out the front vents. Seems very odd to me.

Danthurs has a 97 and is way smarter than I am. He hasn't been on today, but I expect he will be tonight. Send him a PM and ask him to look at this thread. When you have this thread open copy the address and then paste the address into your PM. It will link him to this thread.

I missed this one. Sorry. You need to check under the dash on the passenger side to see if the air mix actuator is moving. Had a guy here about a month ago with the same problem, only blowing hot, not cold. He didn't have the money to fix it, so I reversed the vacuum hoses on the solenoid and he had cool air. He will have to change it back during the winter.

Hope these help.
