This morning when I tried to start the car it turned over but it would not start. Then later I tried again and it was still doing the same thing so I put it in neutral and tried a couple times and then finally it started but as soon as I put it in park it turned off. When I am trying to start it, it sounds like I flooded it that is the best way I can describe it. All the electrical stuff works fine.

Did you pull spark plug is wet. And did you do spark test

I'd also start with the plugs. Check all six & keep track of which cylinder each one comes from. If 2 are darker then the rest see if they share the same coil.

Can you actually flood a fuel injected car?

I'd imagine yes if you're dumping fuel and the ignition system is severely degraded.

Well I had my son-in-law check it out and he said I need new wires and that it did not have any coolant in the plugs. He also found that I need a new radiator because mine has several leaks but it seems that the radiator that was in the car when I bought it was not the original and when I called around they told me that there are 3 different ones for my car and to bring it in. So I need to know if you can help me find out which radiator is suppose to be in my car please. Also thank you for all your great help.

Well changed the spark plug wires and it started and stayed on. Then about an hour later went to try it and the same thing happened again. My son-in-law noticed that when he touched the wires on the ICM and tried the car it started drove it to daughters house then was on way to work and it just turned off while I was driving and starting doing the same thing cranks but will not start. So my son-in-law came and messed with the ICM and got it started and drove it home. He told me that if it was the ICM that went out then it shouldn't start no matter how much you touch the wires. Is it possible for the wire plug that connects to the ICM go bad and if so can it be replaced without having to replace the ICM? I haven't drove the car because I do not want to get stranded again.

It'* possible that the wiring can go bad, but more likely to be a corrosion problem. Try removing and inserting the plug several times to clean it up. Also clean the ground wire which is attached to the block under the ICM. While you're doing that, may as well clean up the coil connections.

It'* possible for the wiring to be bad.. however..it'* much more possible that the connector is loose or corroded.

Pull the connector and double check the pins and ensure the bolt is snug when reconnected.
