Default New MAF sensor...Boost guage seems screwed up

Got a new MAF sensor put in, in my 97 SSEi, and now the boost gauge seems wierd. It doesnt seem to move much, not near as much as it did before. I'm thinking maybe they put a MAF sensor for a non-supercharged 97 bonne in, is that possible? Also sometimes my RPMs drop way down to like 800 after revving the engine. Any ideas?

The boost gauge is not tied to the MAF sensor. I'd check for vacuum leaks in the lines leading to your MAP sensors.

I was going somewhere when i typed it lol, i forgot to add some stuff. Ok first, during idle it seems normal, but its only when you punch the gas that you hear this wierd noise and then after you let off the gas, the RPMs will drop way down to like under 1000 and there is an odd sound. Also the check engine light DOES NOT go on. My dad thinks it something with the supercharger.

When I had it in the shop recently, they put on a new MAF sensor, replaced some wires that connect to the MAF sensor, also we cleaned out the intake and put in a new air filter. Is it possible something didn't get reconnected right or something, cause it started doing this right after we put the car all back together.

If I can, I might try to take a video with sound tomorrow.
