Cool. Thanks for "pioneering" something for us. My carpet is shot too from the previous owner. He worked in a factory and apparently didn't give too squirts of **** about his interior. There'* tons of cig burns around the driver'* seat on the floor, and the driver'* seat need a major deep cleaning still. I'm up for some carpet when you hear back from that company. How much did they burn ya for that carpet, around a hundred or so?

Negative. $200 ordered through a local trim shop. It'* tough to shop for carpet colors on the internet so I wanted to see some samples. When the new carpet comes in, I'll be sure to post the results. If you order it directly from the manufacturer, it will probably be a little cheaper.

The second version of the carpet came in late last week. I had a chance to install it today. What a big difference. Basically what the company did is use the OEM carpet to make a new mold. Although it dosent have the very sharp lines of the factory carpet, it now has the provisions for the OEM padding along the front door sills. It was much easier to install too. The last one has at least 6" of extra carpet on either side that needed to be trimmed away. Also, the new version has difinitive "lines" so front to back placement was easy to see. Here'* some new pics:

The manufacturer again is Auto Custom Carpets located in Anniston, AL. I must say that that they have made me a very happy customer for offering to re-mold the carpet and send the new version for no charge.

Looks good, very cool of them to want to fix their mold and send you a new one at no charge, some other companies would leave you out to dry.
Did you Scotch-guard it?
