Check Engine Light- Diag-MisFire Cylinder#3/Oil Pressure ?
Just had car serviced- Check engine light came on -on open highway- doing around 50/55- car was lightly surging etc- made it home no problem. but I did notice after the light came on that the oil pressure reading at a full stop at a red-light in Drive- was very low-went from normally a little below 40 PSI down to just above the red-line area on the pressure gage.
I had the car scanned- came back mis-fire in cylinder # 3- had brand new set of Ignition wires put on- also oil/oilfilter service (was about due (3000 miles intervals).
Car is running great- NO Check Engine light- idling from 40 to a little higher in N and a little below 40 to right at 40 in D at a complete stop.
I'm not a mechanic - just curious- can just one cylinder mis-firing have that much effect on your oil pressure to almost drop it to Red-line? ( Oil level was at full when the Check Engine Light Came On so That was not the cause of the low pressure).

No, misfires won't effect oil pressure unless the rpm are so low you are not building pressure.
Your oil pressure was most likely fixed with a well needed oil change.
How many miles were on that oil and was it regular oil or synthetic?

RPM'* were normal - around 1000 at an idle- never dropped any lower.
2,958 miles to be exact and it was regular oil- 10W30. I have never used synthetic in any of my vehicles. Is it possible the oil filter or oil pump was clogged etc.?
Thanks for the reply- I did not think that could of caused it.-
Its fixed and running great .

I doubt either were clogged.
Have noticed myself if I get oil changes done for me or use lower cost oils that they bread down quicker and by 3,000 miles pressure is dropping off like you mentioned.

Your probably right- I usually change my own oil and filter and usually use either Quaker State or Penns Oil- I know Service stations and the like use a "BULK" grade oil whatever that is - maybe it is not as good- Just that I do not feel like doing this job in the winter- TOO OLD to be laying on a cold icy driveway- no thanks!

I agree and I'm sure the oil meets the needed specs. I've noticed it breaks down quicker, which brings you back for another change quicker.
