I need a hood that will do 2 jobs at the same time . One is taking the heat out of the engine cowl.Two is a ram-air intake . The extracting part will be easy , but I'm afraid the intake design has stumped how long will the intake tube be? How big of a scoop should i put a motor to close the hood scoop , and if so what will I do in the rain? Then comes emissions! will it still pass?

If there is enough interest we might be able to get some hoods with heat extractors made for our cars professionally.

I dream about a subtle, but good looking hood with twin scoops. Really. I have no life.

Scoop #1 would duct cooling air over the top of the supercharger, duct #2 would ram the intake. Inside each scoop would be paintball guns, semiauto, with a trigger on the shifter......there I go getting off-topic again. The Marine in me still sneaks out from time to time

Duh, 95. We have AIR COMPRESSORS under the hood. Of course, 80psi ain't gonna launch paint very far, but we're already travelling at say, 80mph, then we launch.....how far will the paintball travel before we overtake it and splat it on our own windshield?

I am having a full hood heat extractor made by a bodywork friend of mine. It will be all metal and very very very little filler. I personally believe in having the intake for the ram air or passive ram air come from the front of the car. I figure without more than primer it will cost me $400.00. Obviously once I actually do it ill share. That said I could also have other styles of hoods made and for the first person willing to experiment with looks time and some money I am willing to set up a ram air setup.

I would prefer a b.b. gun and we could aim the same we the power mirrors work! I would like to make two holes in the front bumper like they are fog lights and have to tubes going to the intake. and some air directed to the pulley drives and to the manifold and fuel rails, maybe even to the exhaust manifold to reduce engine cowl temps.

How about a "Carbon Fibre" Hood with scoops like the new Ram Air Firebird? I think heat exchangers should be able to fit under this design of hood with still ample clearance for the engine. Ty????? :?
