HI everybody

I'd appreciate anybody'* help here. I think I need to purchase two new keyfobs.. one doesn't work any more..and the other.. well.. kind of works when it wants to ...and then.. well. it'* temperamental. I'd just rather buy two news ones. Oh yes.. I tried new batteries.

These are for a 1997 Bonneville SSEI

So.. I'm reading up and trying to figure out what'* compatible and what'* not?

The numbers on the back of my fob are... GM/UTA 25628814.......FCC id KOBUT1BT....
Canada 1983 101 393

Can anybody tell me which of these numbers are the important ones to match when I'm looking for a key fob? or does someone here have a couple in great shape they would like to sell me?

I understand there is some "reprogramming" to be done when I get them?

Both the GM and te FCC numbers are important. Check this out Keyless Entry Remote Key Fobs, Remotes & Keys for Cars

There is some reprogramming that needs to be done. If you search the forum, you can find several different write ups on it. You can also take the car to the dealer and they can do it for you with a scan tool.
