Keyfob Programming

I have a keyfob from a 99 G.P. Can anyone tell me if this will work on my 02 Bonne SSEI? I know that if it is doable that I will need the Tech II, but can the remote be used for this car? Thanks.

You want to see if the FCC ID number matches the original remote.

my car didn't come with any remotes. anything else that i can look at?

You might be able to check with someone else on here, because I think in 01 or 02 they changed.

Called and verified with my local Pontiac dealer and a keyfob for a 99 G.P. will not work for a keyless entry system on an 02 Bonne. They work on different frequencies. I guess I will look at ebay next.
