thanks for all the info.. i ended up gettin it off i just jacked the engine up alot by the oil pan and then every thing went like butter until i installed my 180 t-stat and then my t-stat housing cracked...

How did the T stat housing crack? By one of the bolts?

i think i might have over tightened it... it crack right next to the short bolt...so know i have to go to the junk yard and get anther one.
