Default mystrious bong

No cheech, it isn't that type. I was pulling into a parking stall at school today, and just as I turned the steering wheel I hear: bong, bong, bong, bong. All gauges are reading fine, no idiot light on. Nothing seems wrong. This ever happen to anyone else?

Default Bong....

Sounds like it may be an upper strut bearing. Does the car have any memory steer???

Seriously, was this a mechanical noise? Or a warning buzzer or what?

sorry. It was a warning chime. Sounded like the low fuel warning.

Maybe some power steering fluid needed?

my car made the same noise (like low fuel warning chime) the other morning pulling out of my sub. It only did it when the car was cold and under moderatly-hard acceleration. Its weird, its never happened but that one time.

Was your car cold when this happened?

I get a random bong every once in awhile too when I press down on the brake pedal to go into reverse -- yes I have plenty of brake fluid and ABS/Traction control works fine....

I just chalk it up to a computer glitch

You think you're car is weird. My traction control only works when i'm low on wash fluid.
