This happened to me not too long ago... s2 n/a though. My WP died... it wasn't noticable at all, even with the belt off. You could just barely feel a small itty bitty something while you were rotating the pulley.

it gave the ultimate heads up though, when the weep hole let loose over a gallon of coolant while I was on lunch break...

I also replaced my tensioner not too long before that, because it was binding up a bit too.

But with that much damage to your belts, whatever it is, you'll be able to feel it...

Doesn't look aligned to me... Is that pulley below the SC pulley bad or incorrect? The belt looks to be riding the pulley way off center...

Could the SC pulley possibly need a spacer? or be turned around?

Just a few thoughts..
I agree 110%. It looks like the idler pulley below the blower pulley is out of alignment. The belt looks to be riding crooked on that idler. I'd check the idler bearings for play.

ok guys, sorry for leaving this one up in the air but I need some help. The shop I took it to for the 3rd time to have this fixed told that it isn't their fault because the belt is shredding due to me drag racing the car. The owner says when I preload at the line is when the shredding occurs.

Now, i think this is the biggest bull **** i have ever heard. I am so pissed right now. The damn car has been having this problem for quite a while and to blame it on ME drag racing the car?!!! I'm going to load up on the ideas you guys gave me and do an urban assault on this guy before I take my keys back from him.

GOd, I'm so pissed right now. Great way to start my day off.

Ok, well, I'm glad someone thinks the same way I do. The thing is, i cleaned that engine bay up so well you could eat off of it. The first time I fired the car up after doing so, it started spiting the peices of rubber onto it again. It'* not just when I'm at the track.

The tensioner does not bounce around. It has been replaced, around a year ago. I can try and get some video of the belts. I know my digital camera takes short videos. I can play with that later once I get the car back.
