Default My wonderful weekend

My weekend started out with a (so far) successful UIM/LIM gasket job. A few vaccum lines need to be replaced, but all appears to be fairly well in order.
That'* when it all started to come apart...
On the way home from my in-laws garage (where I did the work) I lost the smooth SC idler pulley (the one by the mount). Belt was running on the remaining metal. since the belt was shot, I cut it off and continued home NA. this afternoon when I go to the car to leave for my folks house I notice, to my horror, I had left the windows open and it rained ~3" last night. the cupholders and map slots in the doors were full of water. After shop vacc-ing what I could get out and driving to my parents, I notice a very rough engine idle between 500 and 1000rpm when warm (200F). dash boost gauge reads about -6-7 at this point (I assume that'* PSI?).

I have 4 questions
1) what type or brand do you recommend for new vacuum lines? can I just run a series of rubber hoses and avoid paying thru the nose for the OEM parts at the dealer?
2) is the rough idle just a side effect of not having a SC, or indicative of another problem with the UIM/LIM job aside from vacuum leaks?
3) how difficult is it to replace the smooth SC idler pulley? how much should it cost for a mechanic to do it? I've already used up most of my "work on the car this weekend" karma with the MRS.
4) how do I take the seats out? see upper line about "work on the car this weekend" karma.

I hope I don't curse anyone who'* reading this with my wonderful luck. Everything I've touched in the past 24 hours has broken. I'm afraid to go take a leak now...

Pick up some generic vacuum line and make your own.

Vacuum leak is likely your rough idle, spray MAF cleaner around and you will find it.

Easy to replace. I may have some pulleys. Just need a picture of the one you need.

Seat removal. this should work for you. https://www.gmforum.com/showthread.p...ight+reduction

Thanks!

One more issue: I slightly cracked the plastic part on the SC that provides vacuum to the brake booster while trying to remove it. It'* OK for now but I need to get it replaced. Does anyone have a spare on an old SC lying around? how much should that run me at the dealer? ~shudder~ I can send pics tomorrow if it helps.
