On the dash sercuty light came on when driving home. What does this secruity system montior. It came on for about 7 miles then went back off. I would do this every so often last winter. It always happens after snow get into the inside and then u drive for long enough for it to melt.So the air would have high humdity. My theroy is that maybe water start to form on the key pelt/sensor that is what cause it to go on.

Mine was on for a while too. Based on some advice here, i just bypassed it, as i didn't feel like buying a new ignition switch.

Here'* how. Took maybe a half-hour. I got the resistor at Radio shack for 99 cents.
