Default My power loss update

Well, we went through and cleaned all the fuses, the battery connections, grounds. When I loose power everything still works in the car, except the engine wont run.

I still need to check if i have a spark (but i do think i have a spark).

I started turning the engine over for a longer time and she kicked on. I believe it is a fuel pump issue now. I think it'* having a hard time keeping up. I needed to get the fuel pump running a little longer to get the fuel to her. Maybe thats what hte problem is.

So! Can you get to the pump without dropping the tank on the bonnies? I know some cars you can take out the back seat and there is a pannel to open up above the tank. If not, we have to drop the tank but burn a good amount of the fuel tank we have.

She ran perfect sunday no issues. We didnt really run her over the weekend becuae we had her in the garage. She died this morning on the way to the dentist, and on the way back from school 2 times. WIthin 100 yards of each other.

Get a pressure gauge. Go to your local tubing/compressed air/hydraulic shop and get a gauge that will fit the test port on your fuel rail. Make sure they know you're checking fuel pressure! The fuel pump runs when the ignition is turned to ON, it doesn't have to be running to check it.

We're thinking of putting a timing light into the ignition and set it up so you cna see it while driving, then put in an inline fuel preasure guage, so we can drive around and when it acts up, we'll see which one had a problem.
