Question Multifunction lever finicky -- what to do?

As of late, I've noticed that, on the multifunction lever, twisting the wiper control back to "mist" sometimes doesn't work. It usually takes a good twist to make the wipers go. Everything else, including all of the other wiper settings, work like a charm.

As a computer guy by trade, this sounds like a loose connection, bad connection, something like that. Does anyone know how to perform exploratory surgery on this lever, or just replace it outright?

Could be a bit of corrosion in the switch. But not sure how easy it would be to clean. Might be easier to simply change it out.

The wipers work mostly off the stalk being turned. After double checking that the stalk isn't broken or stripping out, I'd leave it be. Since anything past that is pulling the column apart.

Well, the paint for the cruise control is pretty much gone, but aside from that, everything else about it seems fine.
